Swing Trading A
swing trade seeks to profit from taking profits from price upswings or downswings on daily charts
Benefit:
To be long (or short) in a stock when it is trending higher (or lower), and avoid the pullbacks (or rebounds) and consolidations.
Swing Trading Average
time in trade: 2 to 5 days
Using
our Sleeping Tiger Setup, that holding time can be much longer and more profitable
Our
goal: We want our stock/ETF to “walk up” its 8-day EMA (or SMA).
Sleeping Tiger Set-Up 1.
Stock is basing or moving in uptrend
2.
Stock is trading just above its 8-day EMA and 13-day MA
3.
8-day MA is poised to, or has just crossed above its 13-day MA
4.
Buy when stock moves above closest price resistance
5.
Our goal: stock should “walk up” 8-day MA
6.
Take profits when stock closes below 8-day MA
7.
“Red and Blue Stop” Take ½ profits when price closes below 8day MA. Take remainder when price closes below 13-day MA.
