On March 14, 2016 at approximately 12:45p.m, a female adult was waiting at the bus stop in the 1100 block of Manhattan Ave in the City of Manhattan Beach. A male adult, who was driving a four door black sedan pulled up and waved. The female approached the vehicle and the male driver asked, “What’s your destination?” Although she had not requested any type of car or taxi service and there were no markings on the vehicle, the female entered the vehicle and asked the male to take her to Redondo Beach. During the drive, the male exposed himself, began to masturbate and asked the female if she would engage in sexual acts with him. Approximately 15 minutes later, the female asked the male driver to pull over and let her out. The driver complied and she got out in the 2200 block of Artesia Blvd in the City of Redondo Beach. According to the female, she was not touched or threatened at any time. The car was described as: long black sedan with four doors and black leather interior The male was described as: Hispanic, 20-25yrs, 5’11”, “scrawny” build and clean shaven with black hair. His clothing was described as: unknown color short sleeve t-shirt and khaki shorts Not only is this information being distributed in an attempt to identify the male subject involved, but to also remind residents to be mindful of accepting rides with strangers.
