OPENING TIP The Greyhound wrap up a three-game road trip on Monday night against rival and traveling partner, Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselear, Ind. The the prime time showdown will be the first of two meetings this year between the two GLVC East Dvision foes. LAST TIME OUT UIndy split their first two GLVC road games to open their road trip, coming up just short in an 86-80 loss to No. 16 Drury on Thursday to start the trip. The Greyhounds held the lead over the nationally ranked Panthers for the majority of the game, but the Hounds went more than four minutes without a field goal late for a four minute stretch late in the game, a run that would prove costly in the end. Princess German finished with 25 points while Sarah Costello added 17 and Nicole Anderson 16 in a game that saw the Hounds shoot better than 62 percent in the first half and a season best 54.2 percent from the floor for the game. Two days later, the Greyhounds saw a double-digit lead vanish in the fourth quarter against Missouri S&T, but the Hounds were able to dig deep and hold off the Miners for a 60-56 win. German paced the way again for the Greyhounds on offense, pouring in 27 points on the night. ABOUT THE PUMAS Under third year head coach Steve Harold, the Pumas are off to an 11-5 start this year. The Pumas had their five-game winning streak snapped on Saturday, dropping a hardfought battle with Drury, 77-73. The Pumas are led by the duo of Kalea Parks and Lauren Davis. Parks leads the team in scoring with 15.9 points per game and leads the team in field goal (98) and sits second in field goal percentage (46.9%). The forward also sits second on the team in rebounding, hauling in 6.1 boards per game. Davis sits just behind Parks on the scoresheet, averaging 15.8 points per contest while knocking down 39.5 percent of her field goals and 37.2 percent of her tries from deep. Davis also averages four assists per game, good for second on the team behind the conference’s leading assist getting, Brittany Morris. Saint Joseph’s is currently the top team in the GLVC when it comes to picking their opponent’s pockets with 146 steals on the year. The Pumas also rank second in the conferences in turnovers forced per game with 20.4. GREYHOUNDS AND PUMAS ALL-TIME

Rec Points Monday night’s matchup will be the 70th all-time between the two programs, the most 15-0 594 for any Greyhound opponent in program history. UIndy has gotten the better of the 18-1 536 Pumas recently, having won the last six matchups. The last time the two teams met was 14-1 510 13-0 507 an instant classic that saw the Hounds earn an 82-81 triple overtime win last Feb. 26 13-1 478 inside Nicoson Hall. 14-0 462 12-0 422 14-1 417 YOUR LEAGUE LEADER 13-2 411 Senior guard Princess German has not only been the most prolific scorer for the 15-0 397 Greyhounds this year, but she sits at the top of the GLVC in four different categories. The 13-1 383 Gary, Ind.-native leads the conference in points per game (22.1), field goals attempted 16-1 356 12-1 302 (248), minutes played (610) and minutes per game (38.1). 10-1 244 12-1 211 LONG DISTANCE CALLING 10-3 200 The Greyhounds enter play this week riding one of the longest streaks in the country, 16-1 184 14-2 182 having knocked down at least one three-pointer in the last 273 contests dating back 13-1 152 to Jan. 11, 2007. That streak is currently the second longest in the GLVC, just behind 15-0 147 Quincy’s current streak of 278+ games. 11-1 130 8-2 83 12-2 74 12-2 72 11-2 67

2015-16 WOMEN’S BASKETBALL LAST TIME OUT - RECAP & BOX SCORE

Upset bid falls just short as Greyhounds fall to No. 16 Drury in first GLVC road game

Official Basketball Box Score -- Game Totals -- Final Statistics UINDY vs Drury 01/14/16 5:45 p.m. at Springfield, MO/O'Reill Event Center

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The University of Indianapolis women’s basketball team faced off against No. 16-ranked Drury in their first GLVC road game on Thursday night.

UINDY 80 • 3-12, 1-4 GLVC

After falling into an early hole, the Greyhounds caught fire before the end of the first half to take a lead they would keep for most of the game. But the Hounds’ upset bid would fall short after a back-and-forth fourth quarter that saw the Panthers escape with an 86-80 win. Princess German led the Greyhounds with 25 points while Sarah Costello added 17 and Nicole Anderson chipped in with 16 as UIndy set a new season best for field goal percentage by knocking down 54.2 percent (26-for-48) of their field goals. But a cold spell late in the game proved costly as the Hounds dropped to 3-12 on the year and 1-4 in GLVC play.

“We had some stretches where we really played well but the slow start and that stretch late in the game cost us,” Head coach Constantin Popa said. “They had a lot of second and third chances late in the game and they made us pay for it. It was great to see how hard we fought throughout the game and we had a really good game offensively. We stuck to our game plan and got to the line but giving up second and third opportunities late in the game bit us.”

“We fought hard and we were able to win what was a game of runs,” Head coach Constantin Popa said. “We attacked and pushed the ball hard in the third quarter and that proved to be huge for us. That gave us a cushion to take into the fourth and it ended up being a major factor in the win. Road games in the GLVC are always tough and today was no exception. When you can get a conference road win, you take it and it was great to see our team battle today.”
