02 October 2013 Dear Parent/ Guardian RE: Trip to Ambassadors Theatre London – Friday 29 November 2013 To enhance the learning of Shakespeare in preparation for the GCSE Literature examination, we have planned a trip to go and watch the National Youth Theatre’s adaptation of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ at the Ambassadors Theatre in London. For this trip to take place we are requesting a contribution of £25 per student. The school has subsidised the trip to give the best possible value for money therefore no further student funding is available. If insufficient contributions are received, the trip will not be able to go ahead. If you wish to take part, please complete the acceptance form below and the enclosed medical form and return it with your contribution to main reception as soon as possible. The closing date for this trip is 21 October 2013 and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Refunds will only be available if the place can be refilled. Your son/daughter will need to be in school at the normal time of 8.40am. The coach will depart at 10.45am as the performance starts at 2.30pm and will return to school at approximately 7:15pm. Your son/daughter will need to bring a packed lunch. However, if they are entitled to a free school meal, a packed lunch can be provided by the school canteen, please indicate on the reply slip below if you wish a packed lunch to be provided. Students are permitted to bring spending money if they wish but this should no more than £10. Students will need to wear full school uniform. Yours sincerely
