Integrated Electric Rotary Screw Compressors Pneutech Direct Drive RS Series – 2.2 to 22kW Engineered and manufactured in Europe to highest standards, Pneutech Direct Drive RS Series Rotary Screw Compressors are the first choice in integrated or stand-alone compressors from 2.2kW to 22kW (3hp to 30hp). The RS Series rotary screw air end is directly coupled to the electric motor. This allows 100% power transfer for optimum performance and lower running and maintenance costs. The larger screw elements in the air end rotate at lower rpm to ensure increased service life and quieter operation. This makes the RS Series compressors ideally suited to a wide range of small to medium sized businesses where compressed air is in constant demand.

Air Receivers & Storage Most compressed air systems use an air receiver as a storage reservoir to reduce the frequency of compressor starts thereby saving energy and prolonging the life of the compressor. Air receivers can also be used to balance the supply of compressed air to the pipe system thus eliminating fluctuations in the operation of air operated equipment. An air receiver placed in a location remote from the compressor can also eliminate pressure drops due to pipe friction, especially where intermittent periods of high air demand are involved.

Additional Associated Products Pipework Systems Alu-Air Compressed Air Reticulation Piping Good compressed air reticulation is the “other half” of an efficient and effective compressed air system. A poorly designed pipe layout can result in pressure losses and contamination leading to unreliable equipment operation. In addition, the compressor may have to work “overtime” to try to compensate for these conditions, resulting in excessive energy bills. Galvanised or black steel pipe and plastic piping systems, although in use in compressed air reticulation systems for many years, may be costing more than is realised in lost pressure and contamination resulting in excessive power bills and higher maintenance costs on both the pipe system and the machines using the compressed air.
Why is good compressed air reticulation important?
Malleable iron and steel pipes both corrode internally, unseen, but continually building up a crust of rust inside the pipe. This leads to restrictions within the pipe and, in turn, a pressure drop in the system. Plastic pipe is susceptible to expansion and contraction with changes in temperature and, even when bracketed correctly, tends to sag and bow leading to water collection at the low points. Plastic piping is also known to become brittle and burst under pressure in below freezing conditions. Both steel and plastic piping can be time consuming and therefore costly to install because of the considerable number of bracket supports required.
Pneutech Alu-Air aluminium compressed air piping does not have a corrosion build-up like steel pipe, does not sag with heat and is light in weight. It therefore requires fewer brackets and is faster to install with consequent savings in both labour and materials. In addition Alu-Air piping comes pre-painted unlike steel or copper piping. Alu-Air pipe comes in six sizes from 20mm OD to 63mm OD and the system includes a full range of preformed pipe bends, couplings and suspension accessories to make installation even quicker and more economical.

With to-day’s high tech spray coatings, high precision machine tools and sophisticated manufacturing processes it is critical that industrial compressed air supplies are free of moisture. Correct filtration equipment will remove even microscopic solid contaminants but will not entirely eliminate moisture due to the fact that some of this moisture may be in the form of vapour. This can be eliminated by installing a Pneutech Refrigerated Air Dryer.
Only dry compressed air is clean compressed air because any moisture in the system will contain contamination which could cause corrosion in equipment leading to loss of production, loss of product quality and costly downtime.

The extra large aluminium bowl area of these filters adds to their filtration capacity by enhancing the dissipation of heat build-up in the air being treated and turning water vapour into condensate for easy drainage. Each filter comes complete with an auto drain for hassle free drainage and can be retrofitted with a differential pressure gauge to monitor the saturation level of the replaceable filter element.

Air Receivers & Storage Most compressed air systems use an air receiver as a storage reservoir to reduce the frequency of compressor starts thereby saving energy and prolonging the life of the compressor. Air receivers can also be used to balance the supply of compressed air to the pipe system thus eliminating fluctuations in the operation of air operated equipment. An air receiver placed in a location remote from the compressor can also eliminate pressure drops due to pipe friction, especially where intermittent periods of high air demand are involved.

Additional Associated Products Pipework Systems Alu-Air Compressed Air Reticulation Piping Good compressed air reticulation is the “other half” of an efficient and effective compressed air system. A poorly designed pipe layout can result in pressure losses and contamination leading to unreliable equipment operation. In addition, the compressor may have to work “overtime” to try to compensate for these conditions, resulting in excessive energy bills. Galvanised or black steel pipe and plastic piping systems, although in use in compressed air reticulation systems for many years, may be costing more than is realised in lost pressure and contamination resulting in excessive power bills and higher maintenance costs on both the pipe system and the machines using the compressed air.
Why is good compressed air reticulation important?
Malleable iron and steel pipes both corrode internally, unseen, but continually building up a crust of rust inside the pipe. This leads to restrictions within the pipe and, in turn, a pressure drop in the system. Plastic pipe is susceptible to expansion and contraction with changes in temperature and, even when bracketed correctly, tends to sag and bow leading to water collection at the low points. Plastic piping is also known to become brittle and burst under pressure in below freezing conditions. Both steel and plastic piping can be time consuming and therefore costly to install because of the considerable number of bracket supports required.
Pneutech Alu-Air aluminium compressed air piping does not have a corrosion build-up like steel pipe, does not sag with heat and is light in weight. The extra large aluminium bowl area of these filters adds to their filtration capacity by enhancing the dissipation of heat build-up in the air being treated and turning water vapour into condensate for easy drainage. Each filter comes complete with an auto drain for hassle free drainage and can be retrofitted with a differential pressure gauge to monitor the saturation level of the replaceable filter element.
