Year End Gifts & Offerings To ensure that gifts and offerings are received and deposited by December announcements 31, 2017, please deliver envelopes and/or checks to the church office by Wednesday, December 27, 2017. If you mail your offering, please allow sufficient time for delivery by December 28, 2017. For gifts of securities, kindly contact our Endowment Advisor, Charlie Trunk, at 301-663-6592 or [email protected] by Monday, December 11, 2017, to facilitate the transfer. Please notify Charlie of your gift(s), as securities are often transferred without a name (donor) attached. Backpack Ministry Along with monetary donations, we could use peanut butter, black beans, oatmeal packets, sleeves of crackers, and pasta. There are many more things listed with our full menus on the website. No glass please! All donations should be put in the BACKPACK collection bin in Trunk Hall. We are also looking for people to help pack--especially Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. If anyone is interested, please contact [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected].

Students come together from across the synod to worship, serve, and play for a weekend of faith formation and fun! Registration and your payment of $195 due ASAP. Financial Assistance is available for any student – please speak with Pastor Naomi for more information & registration. [email protected] COOKIES NEEDED ELC will host over 2,000 guests during the annual Candlelight Tour of Historic Houses of Worship. If you can donate cookies to be served during the tour, please label them for Candlelight Tour and leave them in Trunk Hall before or after worship services on December 23-24-25. You are also welcome to drop off donations in Trunk Hall during the Tour or the Church Office from 9 am—3 pm the week of December 1822.

Poinsettias for our Homebound Members

Donate a poinsettia to grace our chancel during Christmas week. The poinsettias will be delivered to our homebound and Nursing home members after the Historic Houses of Worship Tour on December 26th. Please make checks to Evangelical Lutheran Church with memo marked for “Poinsettia Donation” Orders accepted through December 10, 2017 Cost: $15.00 each

Social Ministry December Adopt a Family Gifts are be due back the weekend of December 9-10th and will be collected in the sanctuary during worship During the month of December, the Wee Folk School children, families and staff will be collecting new toys to donate to the U.S. Marines “Toys for Tots” program. All new, unwrapped toys may be placed in the designated boxes located in the Schaeffer Center. Toys will be collected until December 14. weefolk.org
