JVCS Executive Board Agenda, February 13 The JVCS Executive Board will meet on Monday, February 13 at 6:30. Reports will be given by the secretary, treasurer, elementary and high school principals, development & superintendent. Agenda items include: Discussion on feasibility and support study, tuition/ salary proposal, 2017-18 calendar, approve golf contract for Phelan Stahl, approve hot lunch seconds for January.
Order Your Tickets for Joseph The February Building to Excellence, containing a ticket order form, is scheduled to be mailed the week of February 13. The first drawing to fill orders will be held on Friday, Feb. 24.
Congratulations on a Superior Performance Congratulations to the cast, crew, and directors of “The Strength of Our Spirit” that received a superior rating at the State Festival in Aberdeen. Jacob Gross, Keziah Appel, and Mitchell Dale received an ensemble award. Cassandra Koel, Jaime O’Neill, Katrina Baltzer, and AbbyRose Miller also received an ensemble award. Kedric Brantner, Miranda Blom, Blake Mendel, Mitchell Wipf, Madison Aughenbaugh, and Brenda Wipf each received individual acting awards. Kathy Hofer and Jill Mendel were the one-act coaches.
Visitation Day Calling all students 7th-11th grade who are interested in attending JVCS. On Friday, February 17, we will be hosting a visitation day. Beginning at 8:15 you can be a student for a day by attending classes, meeting new friends, and experiencing a day at JVCS. Please call the office at 352-7737 by February 15, if you plan to spend the day with us.

Prayer Request Over the past year, the JVCS advisory and executive boards along with the administration have been actively engaged in considering a fundraising campaign regarding the future campus needs of the school. We engaged Dr. Ron Harris to conduct a Support and Feasibility Study to ascertain the willingness and readiness of our constituency to contribute to a capital campaign. We have received the report from Ron Harris and are taking it under advisement. The school leadership has dedicated the next couple of weeks to prayer regarding this matter. We have challenged the staff and secondary student body to pray. Now we are asking you, the JVC family, to come alongside and pray. We‘re asking that you pray specifically for Godly wisdom, unity, perfect timing, faith, and ultimately, that God’s will be done. On February 13, the executive board will be discussing this matter.

Searching for a Model T The Junior class is looking for a Model T car to use for decoration at the Junior/ Senior Banquet. If you can accommodate this request please contact the school.
