Commonly Asked Questions: 1. Does my child need to play year round? No 2. Can my child play year round? Yes 3. Does TRSA support multi-sport athletes? Yes » F all: Sept-Oct (7 weeks) » W inter: Nov-April (indoor leagues available; free training run by Directors of Coaching and skill development training – not required) » S pring: April-July 4. Does my child need to be the best on the team to play Competitive? No 5. Competitive soccer has 4 tiers of Competitive levels. TRSA can accommodate any athlete’s skill and commitment level. » T ryouts: July 25-Aug (based on age and level) » July tryouts create a fair evaluation platform to assess player’s skill level and ensure they are placed on a team with comparable skill to ensure the best environment for your athlete to develop and enjoy the sport of soccer. 6. Doesn’t Competitive soccer mean my child plays five nights/week? No » While some teams can play five nights/week the average is 3-4 depending on Competitive level. » G ames: Most teams have 1 game/week » P ractice: Most teams have 2 practices/week 7. D oesn’t it cost a lot of money to play Competitive? No » W hile Competitive does cost more than Recreational, your athlete has access to the highest level trainers in the area providing them more opportunity for long term skill development and is comparable to other clubs.
Fee Schedule:
Tryout Fee: $30 (July) Fall Club Fees: (July) • U9-U12: $185 Spring Club Fees: (Oct-Feb) (estimated 2015/2016 season)
• U9/U10: ~$340 • U11/U12: ~$355 • U13+: ~$375
Team Fees: Amount is variable per team. Includes tournament fees, winter fees, coach fees (if applicable) and miscellaneous team needs.
Uniform Fees: • $ 95/2 years TRSA is the only club in the metro area that does not require a new uniform every year. (~$50 savings!).
Competitive Season Dates: July Tryouts for the year (Fall 2015 through Summer 2016) – $30 non-refundable » Even if your child does not play Fall soccer, they MUST attend tryout to guarantee a spot on the Spring roster September Fall Season starts » Runs 7 weeks » Usually teams play 1 tournament October Spring Commitment meeting – approximately $150 non-refundable fee » This holds your child’s spot on the team » Approximately 8 free club provided training sessions with their team and top level professional trainers. » Meet your Spring team and Coach » Discuss Team Fees » Try on and order Uniforms (every other year) » Information about Winter training November – April (not required): Winter Training Options: » Pay as you go Player Development training (1x/week) » Ball Mastery, Finishing/Ball Striking/Total Soccer camp options » Club Provided (Free) Team training (2x/month) » Team Training (varies by team level) May: Spring Season starts » Runs 11 weeks » Usually teams play 2-4 tournaments
