INTRAMURALS DODGEBALL League Rules and Regulations All participants in Niagara College Intramurals must play fair, respect officials, opponents, and the game. The following rules apply to this league: TEAM REQUIREMENTS  Teams will be made up of a minimum of 6 players.  Maximum 6 players will compete on a side, additional players can be available as substitutes.  All players must wear appropriate athletic clothing and indoor running shoes.  Players must show current Niagara College student ID prior to start of game in order to play. THE GAME and EQUIPMENT  The playing boundary is the volleyball court. Six (6) balls will be used and are placed along the centre line at the beginning of the game.  Games are 30 minutes in length. The team that wins the most matches in that time period wins.  Once players have retrieved a ball from centre line, they must go back behind the volleyball attack line before they may throw it or they will be eliminated.  Eliminated players must stand on one side of the court and may not interfere with balls that are in or out of bounds.  A player is eliminated if: o They hit someone in the head (unless that person has ducked in effort to dodge) o They are hit by the other team. o Their throw is caught by an opposing player (thrower is out, eliminated player from catcher’s tem is allowed back on the court) o They go out of bounds (except for retrieving stray balls)  A player may block a thrown ball with a ball being held, provided the ball is not dropped as a result.  If a team controls all the balls they must get at least one over the opponent’s attack line, or the game will be stopped and balls will be divided evenly between the teams.  Indoor running shoes are required in the gym. No jewelry. During regular season, ties are permitted. HAVE FUN!
