Assessments that ask students to perform real-world tasks that demonstrate meaningful application of essential knowledge and skills. Featuring both presentations and hands-on activities, the workshop presenters will:

Discuss the important role assessments play in promoting deep learning and transfer; Highlight the differences between authentic assessments and assessments that target lower-order thinking skills; Explore strategies for designing and implementing authentic assessments for a variety of class sizes.
