Introduction to Machine Quilting
Advanced Machine Quilting Fall 2015 The following items are needed for this class: Most of these are available at Sweet Darling Quilts and you will receive a 10% discount. If you have any questions about any of these items, please give me a call. REMINDER: Class Policies: Payment is required at the time of registration. Classes may be cancelled if the teacher minimum is not met. Refunds or credits will be given if a class is cancelled. If you are unable to attend a class and are not able to call seven days before the start of a class, you will be given a store credit only. If you cancel or don't show the day of class-THERE IS NO REFUND OR NO STORE CREDIT. We have had to compensate our teacher.
Make 2 blocks-Flock of Geese & Big T. After making these blocks, put a 2" sashing on all four sides of each block. Fabric: Backing for blocks- 2-18" x 18" Batting: 2-18" x 18" squares cotton or cotton blend. Please do not bring a fluffy polyester batting for class. Thread: Cotton 50 wt, or 40 wt regular sewing/piecing cotton thread that matches the print square. Fill a bobbin with each of the cotton threads. Machine feet: Even feed/walking foot & quilting/darning foot for your sewing machine. Other supplies: Sewing machine in good working order New 90/14 quilting needle Marking pens-Water erasable fabric marking pen-the blue one or any other as long as it shows on your print fabric. Gloves to wear while free motion quilting. These can be Quilter’s Gloves, Machingers or garden gloves with rubber dot grips on it. Either type works well. Glue stick (I use the one made by Scotch) or regular kids school glue stick Masking or painter's tape
