Each country may enter two (2) teams in each weapon for team event, three (3) competitors and one (1) substitute per each team or eight (8) fencers in each weapon for the individual, but no limit to the host country. 7. Entries Entry form from all teams must be forwarded through the respective Fencing Organization. A] Preliminary Entry (by event and number) The preliminary entry form must reach the TFO-OC no later than 24:00 hours of Nov. 3, 2008 - Taipei time. B] Final Entry (by event and name) The final entry form must reach the CTFA-OC no later than 24:00 hours of Nov. 10, 2008 - Taipei time. No change or additional entries will be accepted after this time. C] Entry Fee a) Individual Events NTD 500.- per fencer per event b) Team Events NTD 1,000.- per team per event Entry fees will be collected upon arrival at accreditation or during the Team Managers’ Meeting on Nov. 19, 2008.

8. Competition Methods The fencing competition shall be conducted in accordance with the current Statues and Rules of the FIE. In case of disagreement in interpretation of the Rules, the latest English version shall prevail. Any unforeseen incident is not covered by the Rules shall be dealt with the Director Technique. The competition method of team event will be announced after the number of entries is fixed. 9. Equipments All equipments and installation shall comply with the FIE Rules for competitions. The competitors shall bring their own equipments which comply with the FIE Rules and Regulations. All equipments must be examined and marked by the TFO-OC before they are used in the competition.
10. Competition Management The TFO-OC will be responsible for the organization of the fencing competition under the guidance of CTFA and Director Technique. Technical Officials a. Referee Each country participate this competition is requested to be accompanied by one (1) FIE rated referee at least. These referees should be at least acceptable to all participating countries. They are to be on duty under the assignment of the Director Technique through out the competition. b. The Director Technique (DT) The DT shall be responsible for the technical organization of the competition, one of the DT must be from host country. CTFA in conjunction with TFO-OC shall appoint the DT, and shall designate one of the members as the President of DT. c. The Jury of Appeal The Jury of Appeal shall consist of one representative from each participating country under the chairmanship of CTFA President, or a representative appointed by him. The decision of the Jury of Appeal shall be final. 11. Prizes A medal will be awarded to the 1st , 2nd , 3rd place in each weapon. 12. Language The official language for 2008 Taipei Fencing Open is English. 3

Accommodations All participants will stay in the TAIPEI HEROES HOUSE（國軍英雄館）and FIRST HOTEL （第一飯店）with the following rates: A] TAIPEI HEROES HOUSE (3*) located at No. 20, Chan Sa Street, Sec. 1, Taipei, Tel: (02) 2331-9722, Single room (single occupation) US$ 60.00/person per night Twin beds room (double occupation) US$ 40.00/person per night Triple beds room US$ 35.00/person per night This package price includes breakfast and transportation between Airport, hotel and Venue.
