[email protected] Martin joined Audit New Zealand as Director, Audit Services in 2007. Before that, he worked for the Audit Commission in the United Kingdom. Martin specialises in providing assurance around procurement processes, asset and project management, and performance measurement. He also leads the Specialist Audit and Assurance Services team’s advice and support to our annual audits. Some of his most notable work includes:
Contributing to local authorities, large and small, on asset management in support of their Long-Term Plans. Many of his insights are shared in Asset management for public entities: Learning from local government, which is highly valued by local authorities as a good practice guide. Providing probity assurance to CERA over the anchor projects that form the backbone of the Canterbury rebuild Providing probity assurance to both Ministry of Education Private Public Partnership projects Managing performance management and assurance for a £3 billion community programme run by the Office of the Deputy-Prime Minister in the United Kingdom.
Martin has a Bachelor of Science in Surveying Science and a Masters in Business Administration with Distinction. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, and of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He is Prince 2 Project Management certified at Foundation and Practitioner level.
