NICK BECKER NAMED GLVC WRESTLER OF THE WEEK INDIANAPOLIS- Nick Becker of #17 Wisconsin-Parkside has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Wrestler of the Week, announced Monday evening. Nick Becker (20-0) won the 174 title at the 37th annual Midwest Classic at UIndy Saturday and Sunday, going 5-0 en route to the tournament championship. He defeated top-ranked Zeb Wahle of Maryville in the finals of the bracket, and also best #5 Blaze Shade of UNCP in the tournament. This is the first career GLVC Wrestler of the Week accolade for Becker, and the first of the season for the Rangers. All five of the GLVC’s wrestling squads are now on the holiday break. The next GLVC Wrestler of the Week will be named January 4, 2016. The Great Lakes Valley Conference Wrestler of the Week is chosen through a nomination by and vote of the coaches of the five GLVC wrestling schools.
