Jackson Little League General Meeting Minutes for September 10, 2013 Meeting Location – Knights of Columbus Meeting Start Time – 8:00pm
Meeting Attendees:
Board Members – Jeff Goeke, Charlie Dimino, Bill Schiazza, Jim Gehrsitz, Travis Starr, Brian McCulligh, Joe Princiotta, Thomas Seixas , Allen Goldberg, Paul Schmidt, Bob Gordon, Carmine Pellone, Mike McCabe, Rob La Gravenis, Tim Calcaterra General Members – Nick D’Amore , Steve Sulsak , Anthony Patire, Brian Carrillo, Michael Collins, Michael Krieck, Carmelo Catanese, Evan Glaser, Derek Wendell, Joe Caruso, Bobby Bammann, Michael Casper, Jonathan Salkin , Ole Naffaa, Joe Crotchfelt, John Brooks, Lou Rogacki **SEE APENDIX 1 for September 10, 2013 Original sign in sheet on page 3**
8:10pm Meeting Begins
Meeting starts with the 10 year old All-star team being recognized for the team’s accomplishment. Jeff Goeke introduces each player of the 10 year old All-star team (Bobby Bamman, Austin Parikh, Ryan Lasko, Zach Rogacki, Ben Goldberg, Robby La Gravenis, Matt Longstreth, Joey Arcarese, Caden Brooks, Sean Slusak, Matt Potok, Jake Wendell and Jared Caruso). The team presents to the JLL Board the banners for District 18 and NJ Sectional Championship titles. Michele Parikh presents each player with a citation from the Senate and General Assembly of NJ.
8:50pm Board Member Updates
Bob Gordon – 2 Major Fall ball teams which will inter-league with Holbrook. Games start on 9/14/13. Jim Gehrsitz– Umpire Update – Open door for general members for classes. Advise that email will be sent and to check the website for umpire classes. Bill Schiazza– Nov, Dec, Jan, and Feb registration dates. Eligible voters – Derek Wendell, Nick D’Amore, John Brooks, Anthony Patire, Gary Longstreth. Carmine Pellone – Deferred to Rob La Gravenis. Rob La Gravenis – Discussed the need for Managers for the Minor division as 2 more Managers are need to complete this division. PM Division has 2 teams and have started practicing and games start on 9/14/13. Tom Sexias – A few bags still not returned he will set another date and let players agents know. Paul Schmidt – Juniors are traveling throughout the district. Also, reminded everyone that JLL players can play until 18 years of age. Travis Starr– Working with TJ Landscaping to resolve erosion issues on Grass B. Jeff stated he will ask township to turn on the lights at 6:30pmthru mid-November. Joe Princiotta – Will provide plaques for sponsor to Anthony Patire. Jeff Goeke opens the floor to the General Members for questions – N/A.
