PONIES IN ACTION Football Tuesday night started out as a normal night in Bronco stadium with 7th grade B-team easily rolling past Highlands 31-6. The A team came on the field next and pushed into an early lead with a safety. Both teams traded touchdowns, including a great touchdown pass to William Sims in the first half. As the 4th quater came to a close the Ponies found themselves down 14-19. After three failed attempts and on 4th down with fortyeight seconds on the clock Jose Gomez prepares to throw the long ball. He sees his man number 11 open and throws a perfect spiral towards William Sims. As all eyes were on the ball a silence came over the stadium. It was is if everyone took a deep breath and held it. Then, screams of excitement as the catch is made. He scores a touchdown with less than thirty seconds on the clock putting the Ponies up 20-19. The defense held their ground and the Ponies win the game as time expires for the Eagles!

Woodrow Wilson was well represented in this year’s Trinity Valley Exposition parade. We had many students and faculty that turned out to see the festivities. The Dayton group was led by the fire department, followed by Charger and the high school band and cheerleaders. Our twirlers followed them and then next we had the Sparklers. The cheerleaders excited the onlookers as the Dayton group passed by. We even had a few Dirt Divas waving to thier favorite teachers. A thank you goes out to all our participants that represented WWJH on their day off.
Yearbooks are on sale now. If you preorder before December 1st, receive $5.00 off the normal price of $35.00, or you can make 4 payments of $10. See Mr. Ewing in room 105 for details.
