ODOT Releases Information of Upcoming Weekend Closure of US 33 West Starts: Saturday, December 9, 2017 @ 7pm Ends: Monday, December 11, 2017 in 5am Beginning at 7 PM Saturday, December 9, US 33 west will close between US 42 and Scottslawn Road, but only until Monday morning. During the 2-day closure, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will replace part of a steel beam that supports the Beecher-Gamble Road bridge over US 33 in Union County. This repair is needed after a dump truck with its bed raised struck the bridge in late-August. To complete the work at Beecher-Gamble, US 33 westbound will close between US 42 and Scottslawn Road from 7 PM Saturday, December 9 until 5 AM Monday, December 11. Westbound US 33 drivers should allow extra travel time Saturday night and Sunday. The detour is US 33 west to US 42 west to Industrial Parkway north to Scottslawn Road east to US 33 west.
