2017 Notice to Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship Competitors The following outlines the Alberta quota player selections for the Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship being held at Wascana Country Club in Regina, Saskatchewan, August 22-25. Players Representing Alberta at the Canadian Mid-Amateur Championship: • • • •
All Alberta Mid-Amateur Men’s Quota members must have a permanent Alberta residence. Upon confirmation of the quota positions by Alberta Golf, Golf Canada will email registration details directly to all players. The Alberta Mid-Amateur Interprovincial Team will be made up of the Top 2 Mid-Amateur Men (aged 25+) and Top Mid Master (aged 40+) from the Provincial Mid Amateur Championship. The Alberta Mid Amateur Interprovincial Team will be made up of the Top 3 finishers from the Provincial Mid Amateur Championship. The team will be supported with an Alberta Golf hat, golf bag, 2 shirts, and additional funding available for travel.
Alberta Quota Players: Alberta has 25 Quota Players for 2017: •
The spots will be awarded to the top 20 positions at the Alberta Mid-Amateur and the top 5 positions at the Alberta Amateur (players aged 25+).
If a player chooses not to take one of the Quota spots, it will be awarded to the next highest finisher at the Provincial Mid Amateur Championship. Ties for final Quota spots will be broken by Tournament Tie Breaking Procedures – Matching scorecards. *Must play in current year’s Provincial Mid-Amateur and/or Amateur unless otherwise exempted by Player Support Committee.
