October-December 2014 New Open Door for Ministry- In October 2014, the District Superintendent of the Anaheim District Church of the Nazarene, extended a prayerful ministry opportunity to us. The opportunity included a bi-vocational position as the Sr. Pastor of the Hawthorne Church of the Nazarene. Hawthorne Church of the Nazarene has two congregations made up of Spanish and English/Korean. After prayerful thought, we have decided to accept this addition to minister at this location. The agreement between district, board and church will allow us to Pastor the small English/Korean congregation (on a part time basis) alongside of Pastor Jesus Garcia who will serve as the Sr. Pastor of the Spanish congregation. Pastor Garcia will also oversee the church administration and newly assigned board members at Hawthorne Church of the Nazarene. The agreement also allows us to continue in our evangelistic ministry of Jerry Liversage Ministries, Inc./Responding Recovery Ministries. We are excited about this God given addition to ministry. Please continue to pray for us as we move through open doors as God so leads. Thanksgiving and Christmas Reflections Bring Lasting Hope for the Past, Present and Future On November 15 2014 we were privileged to hold a Liversage style family reunion and potluck gathering in our apartment club house. Approximately 40 plus family members and children gathered to fellowship, eat, and openly share updates on life. It was so good to see everyone and reflect on the Blessings of God during this Thanksgiving and Christmas season. This time of year seems to cause focus of thanksgiving, which sometimes is forgotten in our fast pace world. As the early settlers gave thanks several hundred years ago, we too must be in an attitude of thanks for life, family, country and moreover, Jesus to include His merciful life He has given to us, free for the receiving. His life given in exchange for ours….

brings lasting hope. Of course none of this could have occurred unless IMMANUEL became a reality. Matthew records in 1:23 these incredible words of promise… "Look, the virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means God is with us." NLT Several hundred years prior to the birth of the Messiah, ISAIAH PROPHESIED that a virgin would bear a child and name him Immanuel. Skeptics look at the Christmas story and say, “Mary named her baby Jesus! What’s all this about Immanuel? Aren’t prophecies supposed to be fulfilled exactly?” It helps to understand how names were used in Bible times and what the name Immanuel means. A name was not just what you….

were called, it was who you were. A name was an indication of your nature. One example, in Acts, we find a man named Joseph taking on the name Barnabas, which means “Encourager.” In the case of Matthew’s statement, Immanuel means “God with us,” and that is probably the best description of Jesus that can be given. Jesus was indeed God, but “with us” in human flesh, facing our struggles. Since the beginning of the world, all creation has waited eagerly for Christ to come. Now as we enter the Advent season, we celebrate Christ’s coming to be “with us”— Immanuel. The thankful reflection of Immanuel is not limited to the past, but includes the present. Because of this promised name and what was accomplished......

through His death, burial and resurrection, we have a present promise of God, which includes His promised work in us to do through us what we cannot do. The external God who dealt with mankind from an outside posture, now deals with mankind from an internal presence, performing His work inside the hearts of those who invite IMMANUEL, who is Jesus, to reside in them. But the story does not end in the present. It continues in the future. We are living on the precipice of the Second Advent, which is the second coming of the Messiah. God’s prophetic time clock continues to tick each second with amazing precision. The crescendo of His clock will usher the return of Jesus. Merry Christmas!!!!!

A BIG 2014 THANK YOU –We We want to thank everyone who financially supported this ministry during 2014. Your generous support has enabled us to carry the Gospel of Jesus to areas of Orange County to include material to other States of the USA where nothing is expected in return. Hundreds of lives have been touched by God to include a change in heart and direction of life for many. Your financial partnership with us also facilitated this ministry to help those less fortunate with food assistance. Approximately 40 tons of foods were distributed during 2014. Biblical material authored ored by Jerry Liversage were w given free of charge to many who could not afford to make the purchase, including Jerry and Holly’s gospel CD recordings. In addition, YOUR support enabled this ministry to preach the Word of God during 2014 through Time Warner Cable Station. Responding Recovery Television (pictured on left) continues to have an open door to 15 cities in Orange County. We continue to present what “Biblical Recovery” looks like, from a dysfunctional life of drugs and alcohol. alcohol This discovery begins in Jesus and we are privileged to share this revelation to so manyy who have sought answers for years concerning recovery, purpose, and destiny. As we are moving into 2015, our vision continues to unite with the local church to assist in any way possible through the ministry of Jesus Christ. We view this area of ministry mini crucial to our respective communities across any cultural differences. The harvest is ripe and the harvest is NOW. NOW MOTEL/COMMUNITY OUTREACHOUTREACH On November 14, 2014, another evangelistic listic community outreach event was held at the Evergreen Royalle Motel in Anaheim, CA. We gave approx. 7500 00 pounds of food give-away to the surrounding community. The he Gospel of Jesus Christ was the hi-light of the day with the opportunity to respond. About 20+ 0+ people made a decision for Jesus. We are also in the planning stages of various 2015 venues at this same location. God has allowed us to minister at Evergreen Royalle Motel for the last several years. He has touched hundreds of lives in our tenure at Evergreen. APARTMENT OUTREACH- On Sunday November 9, 2014, we held another outreach at the Huntington Westminster Apartments to a group of seniors. A powerful message of Hope was delivered and we continue to be exposed to the awesome presence of Jesus in our midst. We continue to see lives and hearts changed by the Power of God along with fruitfulness occurring at this complex. We also extend a small monthly food distribution to seniors at this facility. What a joy to serve at this location.
