JUNIOR JAGUAR BASKETBALL CLUB (JJBC) “SELECT/TRAVEL” BOYS BASKETBALL 2017-18 The JJBC is a "select" youth basketball program. The program is intended to provide a great opportunity for aspiring young Jaguar players to have a more in-depth experience in the game of basketball, while helping to develop the skills needed to be successful at the middle school, and ultimately at the high school levels. Our mission is to become the very best youth basketball program in the state! We will get there sooner rather than later with an unyielding, relentless commitment to providing a top quality, in-depth and systematic approach to the game of basketball. We will strive to develop our players into skilled, fundamentally sound and team oriented players that play the game “The Right Way”. We will keep this core belief at the center of our program. Without question, the JJBC will be an integral part in the success of the Hilliard Bradley High School Basketball program as we grow into one of the upper echelon programs in all of Ohio. We will be forming teams at the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade levels. Regardless of whether your son has played travel / select basketball in the past or not has no bearing on this year’s selection process. All kids are encouraged to tryout and our coaching staff will do their very best to place all kids in a program that will allow them to have a positive, fun, competitive, and in-depth learning experience in the game of basketball. The number of teams formed at each grade level will be determined on a later date. Note: The JJBC is designed as a “feeder program” for the Hilliard Bradley High School Basketball Program. Therefore, the program is available to students currently within the HBHS system only. Any exceptions to this must be approved by the program coordinator. Important Dates / Times for JJBC Tryouts We will conduct three tryout dates. It is highly recommended that all players aspiring to be a part of this year's program attend 2 of the 3 tryout sessions. If a player does not attend multiple sessions it could affect his selection on a team. The tryout dates and times are listed below. Please mark your calendars with these important dates.
