John Glenn Booster Club JOKERS WILD Progressive Raffle House Rules The John Glenn Booster Club’s Progressive raffle is a progressive raffle held once a week for 54 weeks at Bay Lanes Bowling Center located at 4243 N Euclid Ave in Bay City, MI. Michigan License # C27931. House Rules as of 2/14/2017.
1. Tickets are $1.00 each. 2. A new deck of cards is used for each game started. All 52 playing cards are used, including both jokers(bringing a total of 54 cards) for a total of 54 weeks. 3. The cards are shuffled, sealed in individual security envelopes numbered 1 through 54 and are with the signatures of two chair persons across a seal before they are placed into the display case. 4. Drawings will be held in a public area each Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. at Bay Lanes Bowling Center. 5. Drawings will begin on March 14, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. and will end on March 20, 2018. 6. In the event of emergency or severe weather that prevents a scheduled drawing, the drawing will be held on the next scheduled drawing date and time at Bay Lanes Bowling Center.. 7. The drawing that was originally scheduled for Tuesday July 4 2017 will take place on Wednesday, July 5 2017 at 8pm as scheduled at Bay Lanes Bowling Center. 8. All eligible tickets will be thoroughly mixed and drawn from a raffle ticket drum or equivalent by an event chairperson, with a second chairperson present. The drawings will be held in public at Bay Lanes Bowling Center. 9. One ticket will be drawn at each weekly scheduled drawing date and time. 10. The purchaser of the winning ticket will choose an envelope from the raffle board display. 11. All winning envelopes will be displayed face up in the display case showing what envelope numbers are still available for the next weeks drawing. All winning cards will remain face up until the designated card( RED JOKER) is drawn. 12. To win the jackpot you must select the RED JOKER 13. If the RED JOKER is not selected, the pot rolls over to the next weeks drawing. 14. The Jackpot will continue to build (roll-over) until the RED JOKER is selected. 15. Winners do need to be present to win. 16. You must write the number of the sealed envelope you want to choose on your ticket stub regardless if you will be present or not. If your ticket is drawn, an event chairperson will open the selected envelope for you in public. If the winning ticket purchaser is not present and no envelope number is written on the ticket stub, the event chairperson will draw a random number from a bingo basket containing all of the available envelopes. The envelope matching the matching bingo ball number drawn will be selected for the ticket winner, thus ensuring a truly random drawing. 17. If the winning ticket holder selects the RED JOKER they will receive 60% of ticket sales (minus any consolation prizes that have been awarded).
18. Prizes will be paid out for certain cards selected. Those cards are as follows: Black Joker, all 4 Aces from all four suits, according to the payout schedule below. 19. If your ticket is drawn and you draw the RED JOKER or another listed prize card, you will receive the prize for the card as well as the prize for having the ticket that is drawn, according to the stage of the game. For example, in stage one; you will win $25 for having the ticket that is drawn as well as any listed prize ONLY if the card in your selected envelope qualifies. 20. The BLACK JOKER is a winning card as well 21. The John Glenn Booster Club will withhold all required taxes from any payout. Winners will provide proper identification and fill out any and all applicable tax forms as required by the Michigan Charitable Gaming Commission. The regular withholding rate is 25% of a prize. If a winning ticket holder fails to provide proper identification for the winnings, the John Glenn Booster Club must retain the backup withholding rate of 28% of the prize per the Michigan Charitable Gaming Commission regarding the Federal Income Tax Withholding Guidelines. 22. If the envelope containing the RED JOKER is selected, the games starts over on the next drawing date with a fresh set of cards and envelopes unless the John Glenn Booster Club receives other directions from the State of Michigan Charitable Gaming Board. 23. Ticket sales for the current week’s drawing will end at 7pm with the drawing being held at 8 pm. Ticket sales for the next weeks drawing will begin at 8:30pm after the drawing for the current week ends. 24. Only tickets sold AFTER the previous week’s drawing are eligible for the current week’s drawing. 25. After each week’s drawing all non-winning stubs will be removed from the raffle drum and be discarded. 26. If the Raffle is cancelled, the Charitable Gaming Division will be notified. All individuals who purchased a ticket(s) will be refunded the cost of each ticket purchased for that week’s drawing at the cost of $1.00 per ticket. Proof of purchase must be made by providing the remaining part of the raffle ticket. 27. The following persons are not eligible to purchase tickets, ,receive tickets as gifts, or win prizes: A. Owners or employees of Bay Lanes Bowling Center B. Event Chairperson who signed the back of the security envelopes containing the playing cards C. Board members of the John Glenn Booster Club and their immediate family members
