John Marshall Law School’s legacy ERP system was running on an antiquated database that was costly and difficult to maintain. Even after an attempt by the vendor to port data over to a Microsoft SQL front end, the server was expensive to scale and maintain. Challenges included: • Slow Web registration that often locked up, causing student frustration and an increasing number of complaints • No end-user reporting capabilities • Costly to keep small IT staff trained on multiple databases • Limited technology-enabled services for students in key areas, including financial aid and online payments
