Lunchtime Supervisor x 5 Krishna Avanti Primary School (Leicester) Full time £12,612-12,918 Grade 3 point 4-5 ( Pro -rata7.5hrs – 38 weeks) Business Manager/ Co-ordinator
Main purpose of the job: To ensure the security, Safety, well being, and care of the pupils of the school and promote their social, emotional and physical, development during the lunch time period Main Duties and Responsibilities 1. To supervise pupils, during the lunch period, in dining hall, playground areas and school premises. 2. To report to the co-ordinator at the beginning of the Lunch period and receive any instructions with regard to duties. 3. To promote a high standard of behaviour at all times. 4. To ensure the safety and well-being of children, providing emotional support where necessary. 5. To organise, interact and supervise, in appropriate play activities with the children. 6. To ensure that all pupils who suffer any injury or accident are dealt with appropriately in accordance with the schools agreed procedures. 7. To take part in training as appropriate. Dining Hall 8. Before pupils enter the dining hall, to ensure that pupils have visited the toilet and washed their hands and washed hands and mouth after. 9. To set up the dining hall with tables and chairs and put them back into the allocated storage areas. 10. To supervise the children entering the hall in a calm and orderly manner. 11. To encourage all pupils to eat but especially those with special educational needs or disabilities as required. 12. To encourage social skilled and good table manners. 13. To clean up spillages of food and to organise clearing cutlery and crockery off tables.
14. To liaise with the co-ordinator and share the sweeping of the dining room hall floors, First Aid and general supervision . Playground 15. To ensure the children are appropriately dressed for the weather. 16. To interact in all children’s play. 17. Generally being aware of all playground areas. 18. Administer general First Aid and for more serious accidents report directly to Reception. Class Areas 19. To ensure children are quietly occupied in class areas during inclement weather. 20. To check toilet areas regularly.
