Monday, 16th May 2016 Dear parents and carers of our Key Stage 2 children, I am excited to write to you today with details of the Key Stage 2 Summer Production. Now that SATs are over, Year 6 are itching to ‘get stuck in’ to our annual performance. This year we will be presenting our performance of ‘Sleeping Beauty: The Ugly Truth’. Auditions for Y6 will be held this week and other parts will be cast after the half term break. Soon children will start rehearsing songs and some will be bringing home their scripts to learn. As always, we appreciate your help and support with this and apologise in advance if anyone is singing the songs over and over! As usual, there will be an afternoon and an evening performance for parents, carers and community members to enjoy. I’m writing to you now so that you have plenty of time to mark the dates off in your diary to ensure you can attend but also to ensure that all Key Stage 2 children are able to come back for the evening performance as we can’t put on this show without the cast – both those with main roles and those who are supporting characters and choir members. As we appreciate this additional commitment from children, there will be rewards for all who return to school for the evening performance! Our performance details are as follows: Tuesday, 5th July at 1:30pm Wednesday, 6th July at 6:00pm (All children should be back at school for 5:30pm prompt.) Tickets will be available to purchase after the half term break (additional letter to follow) but in the meantime, please make sure these dates are in your diaries! We’re very excited to bring this show to life for you! Thank you once again for your continued help and support. Yours sincerely,
