Last round of signups last week at Academy; mostly for people who want to pay cash. Next Saturday is registration at Dicks. Registration is over on January 30th. Final onsite signups at the field house. As far as the $30 non-resident fee, complaints have been hit or miss. Light pole replacements per Whit are still in the works. Baseball needs to know when they can have the top fields. Whit needs an email when ready. Basketball - Amy Brubaker
Already ½ way through the season Basketball has been able to use Central HS for 4th and 6th graders. Coach Sledge at Central is easy to work with and may offer KYA to play tournament at Central High School.
Had coaches clinic last Wednesday led by Coach Durant, Coach Sledge, and Mike Essex. Great and valuable information as well as interest by these coaches to be more involved and keeping players in Keller. A lot of players go to Grapevine to play. Interested in building them for KISD.
Softball and Select Softball – Jim Hicks

Facilities Report – Whit Green (in lieu of facilities manager which is an open position)
Reminder to get gators fixed. Exterior light on field house needs replacing. Reminder that the facilities coordinator is an open position
President Report – Whit Green
Reminder that sports can use the email blasts for their sports as needed. For sponsorship emails, typically they get 4 a year. The question arose if others (non sponsors) want KYA to send an email out on their behalf. Generally we will utilize email to market non-profit KISD events but if others approach and you feel it would be a good opportunity for KYA to provide to its members list, it needs to be brought to the VP and the KYA board for approval prior to being sent. The East multipurpose field is shut down and being resurfaced and out of use until at least February 15th. If you know your schedule on multipurpose use, let Whit know so he can schedule with the city. Let Whit know when sports registrations are closed and the final number or registered players. Let him know how it compared to last year to see if the non-resident fee had an effect on registration. Next meeting will be held on Monday February 10 (one week earlier than normal) to allow for approval of coaches as well as spring practices beginning.
