LA CLIPPERS HOOP TROOP POSITION: The LA Clippers are looking for fun, energetic, and outgoing individuals to be a part of the LA Clippers Hoop Troop. This is a part-time, seasonal position within the LA Clippers Game Entertainment Department. Members of the LA Clippers Hoop Troop must be fun, energetic, enthusiastic and committed to promoting the Clippers at all home games! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for fan engagement at each home game in an effort to promote the LA Clippers • Responsible for creating and generating energy with Clippers fans (ex. t-shirt tosses, holding signs, promotional item giveaways, handout premium items at the doors, interact with fans, assist with on-court contest and promotions, communicate general information to fans, assist with other tasks on an as-needed basis Required Skills / Qualifications: •Experience in the following is a PLUS: Dunking, dancing, cheerleading gymnastics & stunts, crowd leading, and chant-leading • General knowledge and passion for LA Clippers and the game of basketball • Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment • Good work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be a team player and enjoy working in a collaborative environment • Previous marketing/promotional/event/street team experience desirable • Must have a hands-on, positive attitude • Must be able to follow instructions and make quick decisions • Minimum 18 years of age Physical Requirements: • Able to carry a minimum of 35 pounds at shoulder level for an extended period of time • Able to stand/squat for extended periods of time • Able to walk/run carrying up to 35 pounds for an extended period of time • Able to handle the recoil from a 12 pound CO2 powered cannon repeatedly for an extended period of time Flexible schedule – Must be able to work ALL home games, nights/weekends and holidays as required.
