Larry Dore Member Of The Year Award Nomination Guidelines ELIGIBILITY •

The Larry Dore Member of the Year Award recognizes a single Auxiliary member’s outstanding contribution to the Auxiliary, the plumbing-heating-cooling industry and the community. This may include work at the local, state or national level. Any Auxiliary or National Auxiliary member in good standing for the past two years may nominate another National Auxiliary member. Only those members in good standing for the past two years will be eligible for nomination. Current National Auxiliary Executive Officers become eligible for nomination for the Larry Dore Member of the Year Award one year after they have left that office. Any Auxiliary member who is selected as the Larry Dore Member of the Year cannot be nominated a second time.
JUDGING • •
The qualifications of each nominee are judged according to merit, level of industry involvement and community contributions. InSinkErator and the Auxiliary have no involvement in the judging activities. An independent panel of judges will review nominations.
AWARDS • •
The Auxiliary member selected as Larry Dore Member of the Year will receive a cash award and a commemorative plaque. The First Runner-Up will receive a cash award and certificate. InSinkErator sponsors both awards.
GUIDELINES • •

Prepare a convincing essay, maximum of 500 words, describing the reason(s) the nominee should be selected as the Larry Dore Member of the Year. Provide supporting documents tracing back three years to validate achievements. This may include photos, newspaper articles, thank you letters, award notifications, etc. Should not exceed 10 single (five double-sided) pages. List nominee’s efforts in the name of the Auxiliary at the local, state and national levels, including all offices held during the past three years. List involvement in the community (non-profit activity, special event planning or other demonstrations of community involvement) during the past three years. Include a head and shoulders photograph of the nominee. Submissions may be made via email or by regular mail. If sending by regular mail, use the attached cover sheet and place all information in a 3-pronged folder with clear plastic cover. Please encourage the nominee to attend the PHCC Connect National Convention. Nominations must be postmarked or emailed by August 1.
