Life, Love and Family Daily Fact Sheet Dr. Tim Clinton “Lead Me, Holy Spirit” 

4 Steps for Allowing Holy Spirit to Lead You: o Accept Christ—the Bible says that once we accept Christ as our Savior, we are sealed with Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14). In order to be led by Holy Spirit, you must first accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. Not only does this promise you an eternity spent with Him in heaven when you die, but it allows Him to begin working in and through you here on earth, granting you peace, assurance, hope, and closeness with Him. o Pray—ask the Lord to fill you with Holy Spirit, for Him to illuminate Scriptures as your study God’s Word, and guide you in your daily activities. When we ask, Holy Spirit prompts us in our communication with others, decision-making, and plans for the future. o Trust—even when you do not understand Holy Spirit’s promptings, trust that they are for your good. Follow Him and trust that He knows your future better than you do. o Obey—to walk in Holy Spirit means obeying His initial promptings. Go through each day aware of His presence, asking God to make you more sensitive to His direction.
