Location: Schaefer Center and Walker Gym at Stevens Institute of Technology Instructors: Stevens Coaching Staff & Team Members. Players/Students will learn: The fundamentals of the offensive game of softball with focus on hitting, bunting, and slapping as well as learn the fundamentals and advanced skills specific to batting. Attendees will also learn proper fielding and throwing techniques while participation in drill/station work. Those attending the Pitching and Catching Session will learn fundamentals of their position such as spins, arm circles, blocking, and bunt coverage. Individualized instruction is given to players according to their skill level. Enrollment and Cost: In order to maintain our small teaching groups and to control the quality of teaching, enrollment will be limited and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. All registration materials and payment in full MUST be received by January 4th.
Equipment: Players MUST bring their own helmet, bat, catching gear, water bottle and sneakers. Misc.: Water as well as ice will be available. It is recommended that each camper bring her own water bottle. Clinic Overview: Your daughter will receive the training and attention she needs to advance her skills and prepare her for a competitive softball environment. She will be trained by Stevens coaching staff, as well as several of the top players on the Stevens Ducks Softball Team. Once at the clinic the players will attend skill & training sessions based on their grade and skill level to enable the appropriate advancement of your child's skills. We look forward to the opportunity to train your daughter to be the best player she can be!
