Worship the KING! This week, we worship the King who watches over us. He gives reminders of what He has done for us. When we thank MEMORY VERSE Psalm 121: 1, 2, 4, 8 Him for those things I lift up my eyes to the hills— —that’s worship! where does my help come from? My help
comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord will watch over your coming and KINGDOM going both now and forevermore. CHALLENGE Think of a place in your home or neighborhood where God has helped you in some way. Place a stone there and call it your Ebenezer stone. Whenever you see it, Read 1 Samuel 7:12-15. thank God for To remind everyone of God’s (PLEH) H__ __ __, His help. Samuel set a (ENSOT) S__ __ __ __ and named it Ebenezer. Samuel was Israel’s (EDGJU) J__ __ __ __ for his whole life.
What was the Ark of God?
Read 1 Samuel 7:2-4, 8, 10. Samuel told God’s people to return to (DGO) G__ __ and they would be rescued. God sent [ ] thunder to scare the Philistines. [ ] horns. [ ] swords.
It was the golden box that God’s people had kept since the days of Moses. It held reminders of God’s goodness.
Read 1 Samuel 6:1-3, 13. The town of (NORKE) EK__ __ __ was afraid. They sent the ark to Israel with offerings so God would (LEHA) H__ __ __ their people. God’s people rejoiced. Read 1 Samuel 5:6-11. God made the people of Ashod sick until they sent the ark to (THAG) G__ __ __. God made them (KSIC) S __ __ __, too! So, they sent the ark to Ekron.
Read 1 Samuel 5:1-5. The Philistines stole the (KRA) A__ __ of God and put it in their temple next to their false god, the statue (GNODA) D__ __ __ __. Dagon fell and broke.
ARK OF GOD 1 SAMUEL 5-7 When the Philistin es put the stolen Ark of Go d in their temple, their fa lse god Dagon fell and broke. God made the Philistines very sic k until they returned the ark to Israel. When the Israelites re pented, God sent thunder to scare the Philistines away.
