LIFEgroup Discussion Questions April 1, 2017 Easter Changes Everything Text: 1 Corinthians 15.3-8, 20-22, 51-52 Looking into the Text: 1. What are the four truths we see about Jesus in 1 Corinthians 15.3-8? When Jesus appeared to people (the fourth truth) what was He like? 2. What response must we make to the gracious work of God in Christ according to Romans 10.9? What does this mean? 3. What does it mean that Jesus is the first fruits of those who are asleep (15.20)? How does Jesus’ resurrection cause us to be resurrected (15.21-22)? 4. What makes spiritual resurrection possible (15.45)? What is the effects of the spiritual resurrection (15.17; 2 Corinthians 5.17; Romans 4.25; John 7.38-39; Acts 2.32-33; Romans 6.57)? 5. If the effect of the resurrection just for now (1 Corinthians 15.19)? What will happen at death for the believer (2 Corinthians 5.8), when will we receive resurrected bodies (1 Corinthians 15.51-52) and what will they be like (Philippians 3.20-21)? Looking Deeper: 1. How is Easter truly everyday? How does that change everything? PRAY: 1. Pray for the group that we would see Easter as every day. 2. Pray that our church body would walk in the power of the resurrection each day. Do: Take time this week to read the gospel accounts of the resurrection and let the overflow of Easter impact every day. As you do, make it your goal this week to share the gospel with one person and how the cross and resurrection of Jesus can change their life.
