Obituary Linda Faye Bankhead, the daughter of Ruben and Pauline Bankhead Sr. was born on April 28, 1959 in Lawrence County, Alabama. God called her home on May 27, 2015.

Linda was a member of Ebenezer Christian Church under the leadership of Bishop R.M. Johnson. She attended school in Courtland, Alabama where she graduated from Courtland High School. Linda was a very special, quiet young lady who others loved to be around. She will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Khalika Bankhead of Hillsboro, AL.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Chaletha Bankhead and Kristy Bankhead both of Hillsboro; a devoted friend, Donald Madden of Hillsboro; four brothers, Ruben Bankhead Jr. of Decatur, Clifford Bankhead of Atlanta, GA., Thomas Bankhead of Hillsboro; Kenneth Bankhead (Lesa) of Decatur; seven sisters, Sarah Foster of Athens, Paulette Patton (Ronnie) of Athens, Victoria Sales (Johnny) of Athens, Gwen Maxwell of Decatur, Debbie Shaw (Keith) of Prattville, Carolyn Owens (Alphonso) of Decatur, Veronica Bankhead of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Shukirah and Kyra (Kristy); dear friends, Loretta Cooper (Carl), Ann Hampton, Yolanda Carter (James) all of Decatur and Randi Braden of Hillsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
