Carriers CNS Compass provides the electronic interface to enable carriers to manifest import and export cargo and manage the full lifecycle of their containers through the port. CNS can offer a comprehensive range of industry standard EDI messaging for manifesting, updates and container status. Agents Agents must use CNS Compass to obtain customs and regulatory body clearance of import containers moving through the port. CNS Compass also provides real time visibility of operational and regulatory status, plus facilities for commercial release to other agents. CNS administers port charges to agents, such as the port customs entry charge and examination fees. These charges will appear on your CNS invoice. Existing CNS maritime customers can clear cargo at DP World London Gateway Port as part of their current subscription. Agents will need a CHIEF role for the London Gateway EPU (155). There is no additional charge for this CHIEF role. If you are not already a CNS customer, please contact the CNS helpdesk who will provide you with a full information pack. Rail operators As part of CNS Compass, CNS provides the electronic interface for rail operators to interface with DP World London Gateway’s open access rail head. CNS works in partnership with DP World London Gateway’s operational and IT teams to integrate rail operators’ systems with CNS Compass. Park tenants CNS Compass provides customs-approved inventory systems for an external temporary storage facility (ETSF) with simplified transit from the port. This means that park tenants can move a container from the port to their facility in the park as a simple transaction with CNS Page 6 of 18

Compass, and then clear the cargo in the container once it is in their park facility. CNS will provide the electronic interface for park tenants to book moves from the port to their premises in the park. CNS can work with your IT teams to integrate this process into your internal systems.
