Head Teacher: Pat Dyson Date: 18th May 2015 Ref: Race At Your Place 2015 Dear Parent/Guardian After the success of our second Race for Life event last year, our school is holding the event again this year, and we’d love your son and/or daughter to join the fun. As the event will be held after school every child that takes part must be supervised by their parent/guardian. We also encourage you to take part in the event and be sponsored. Over the past two years it has been fantastic to see lots of adults supporting the children and encouraging them to complete the race. We hope this year there will be even more people supporting this fantastic charity, and we look forward to another fun filled afternoon. So far our school has raised a fantastic £2,613.75 for this amazing cause. Our youngsters are the generation that could see ground-breaking treatments and cures for cancer in their lifetime. They’re the young warriors who could be the researchers and lifesavers of tomorrow. By taking part in Race for Life and uniting together against cancer, they’ll be doing something really special. Cancer Research UK’s work is funded entirely by the fundraising efforts of people like us, so the more of you who unite with us in the fight against cancer, the more money we can raise to beat cancer sooner. The fun starts at 3:15pm on the 19th June 2015, and sponsorship packs are available from the office.
