High Engineering Surcharge MACKTRAQ 2013B will include a High Engineering Surcharge on Quotes/Orders which include a large number of user entered PID codes. High numbers of User Entered PID’s cause additional engineering resources to verify the accuracy and integrity of the order for the intended application. The High Engineering Surcharge will be $300 per vehicle where the quote includes in excess of eight (8) user entered PID codes. Salespersons will be notified as they approach this limit with a pop up message indicating that the surcharge will be applied and asked if they wish to proceed.
Another pop up message will be displayed when they have selected the ninth (9) User Entered PID code.
Certain PID conditions will be Exempt from the High Engineering Surcharge

High Engineering Surcharge Pricing Summary Worksheet:
When a High Engineering Surcharge is incurred, the charge will be added to the LIST SELLING PRICE. High Engineering Surcharge will NOT be subject to discount for competitive Sales Assistance. Please ensure that all Dealer Sales Personnel are aware of these very important changes when they are specing and quoting vehicles. Appendix A
CHASSIS PACKAGING SOLUTIONS-GU8 In an effort to build upon the Chassis Packaging solutions introduced with the previous release of MACKTRAQ –we will be adding this concept to the GU8 model family with this release. These packaging solutions will define DPF, SCR, Battery Box, and Air Tank locations as well as Fuel Tank availability with these configurations. These packages have been constructed by a team who have looked at the most requested arrangements of these items and have developed packages based on specific requirements. Those requirements are based on customer demand to optimize solutions by maximizing available frame rail space, and creating more efficient layouts based on desired applications. An added benefit will be a cleaner order and quicker delivery. The packages will be presented on a Lead-in screen. Jump to PK8. Click the information icon. They will be strung together in a single document to give you a view of how each package changes as you move from page to page. The lead-in screen allows you to choose from 5 different categories: Single Fuel Tank Dual Fuel Tanks or Isolate RH Tank MultiAxle Short Wheelbase Twin Steer HOS Sleeper After you’ve chosen the type of package you need, you will be directed to a screen with those individual packaged PID codes. Each PID code will have an icon with graphic representations of the left and right sides of your chosen package. It will contain the detailed and important dimensions relating to fuel tank to Back of Cab (BOC) and typical Air Dryer and Air Tank locations for any chosen PK8. Click on the icon next to the PID code. Page 1 contains left and right side-by-sides of the vehicle with fuel tank dimensions, DPF, SCR, Battery Box and Air Tank locations. Page 2 gives you an overhead view and left and right ¾ rear views.

MACKTRAQ 2013B Version 5.5.0.0 All Sales Managers and Personnel should read the following before using MACKTRAQ. The 2013B release of MACKTRAQ (version 5.5.0.0) will be available on March 19, 2012. Other Changes Conventional Diesel Models
New PID codes have been created for the Fuel Tank Polish screen (221) to clarify the Quantity & Volume of Fuel Tanks that are to be polished.
Enhancement – Chassis Packaging for GU8 Models New Packages (PK8 code) have been created to optimize Battery Box, Air & Fuel Tank options. Please reference Appendix B for details on this enhancement.
To Update Prior Price Level Quotations to 2013B All prior price level quotes must be updated to apply the changes contained in this release (2013B). To update quotes to apply these changes, simply use the Update function under the File menu. The 2013B changes will not be applied unless you go through this Update procedure. It is not uncommon that new screens (pricing, weight adjustments, etc.) are included as part of any release. For this reason, it is highly recommended that all quotations created prior to this release be updated. High Engineering Surcharge MACKTRAQ 2013B will include a High Engineering Surcharge on Quotes/Orders which include a large number of user entered PID codes. High numbers of User Entered PID’s cause additional engineering resources to verify the accuracy and integrity of the order for the intended application. The High Engineering Surcharge will be $300 per vehicle where the quote includes in excess of eight (8) user entered PID codes. Salespersons will be notified as they approach this limit with a pop up message indicating that the surcharge will be applied and asked if they wish to proceed.
Another pop up message will be displayed when they have selected the ninth (9) User Entered PID code.
Certain PID conditions will be Exempt from the High Engineering Surcharge

High Engineering Surcharge A summary of the User Entered selections on the Quote / Order can be reviewed by Going to the Browse Drop Down menu Selecting “User Enters” Selecting “Preview”
A snapshot of the User Entered selections appears displaying the: PID Code, Description, Weight split, Price, the Total number of User Enters, and the number of Chargeable User Enters.

High Engineering Surcharge Pricing Summary Worksheet:
When a High Engineering Surcharge is incurred, the charge will be added to the LIST SELLING PRICE. High Engineering Surcharge will NOT be subject to discount for competitive Sales Assistance. Please ensure that all Dealer Sales Personnel are aware of these very important changes when they are specing and quoting vehicles. Appendix A
CHASSIS PACKAGING SOLUTIONS-GU8 In an effort to build upon the Chassis Packaging solutions introduced with the previous release of MACKTRAQ –we will be adding this concept to the GU8 model family with this release. These packaging solutions will define DPF, SCR, Battery Box, and Air Tank locations as well as Fuel Tank availability with these configurations. These packages have been constructed by a team who have looked at the most requested arrangements of these items and have developed packages based on specific requirements. Those requirements are based on customer demand to optimize solutions by maximizing available frame rail space, and creating more efficient layouts based on desired applications. An added benefit will be a cleaner order and quicker delivery. The packages will be presented on a Lead-in screen. Jump to PK8. Click the information icon. They will be strung together in a single document to give you a view of how each package changes as you move from page to page. The lead-in screen allows you to choose from 5 different categories: Single Fuel Tank Dual Fuel Tanks or Isolate RH Tank MultiAxle Short Wheelbase Twin Steer HOS Sleeper After you’ve chosen the type of package you need, you will be directed to a screen with those individual packaged PID codes. Each PID code will have an icon with graphic representations of the left and right sides of your chosen package. It will contain the detailed and important dimensions relating to fuel tank to Back of Cab (BOC) and typical Air Dryer and Air Tank locations for any chosen PK8. Click on the icon next to the PID code. Page 1 contains left and right side-by-sides of the vehicle with fuel tank dimensions, DPF, SCR, Battery Box and Air Tank locations. Page 2 gives you an overhead view and left and right ¾ rear views.
