THE BEST OF THE BEST VOLLEYBALL TOURNEMENT PRESENTED BY DAVIDSON VOLLEYBALL AUGUST 19, 2017 The 23rd Annual Best of the Best Volleyball Tournament is designed to provide North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia high school teams an opportunity to compete with top programs early in the season. This allows your team to measure your potential for the upcoming volleyball season and provides a full day of competition to work through many aspects of your team’s game. Your athletes will have the chance to compete against teams your might not normally see throughout the year, as well as some rivals. Get a head start on your competition by participating in the 2017 Best of the Best Tournament!! The tournament is open to both public and private schools. In order to comply with NCAA rules, we are offering this tournament on a first come, first serve basis. Sixteen teams competed last year, making it one of the largest high school tournaments in the Carolinas. Be sure to reserve a spot for your team by returning the entry form, including your entry fee, as soon as possible. You don’t want to miss the chance to be crowned “The Best of the Best!”
Tournament Format The Best of the Best Tournament begins with pool play. Ideally, we place teams into pools of four. Everyone gets 2 sets to 25 points against each team in their pool. At the conclusion of pool play, each team is seeded into the Gold or Silver Bracket for single elimination matches (2 out of 3) until we crown the champion. The format guarantees a minimum of 8 sets to 25 and a maximum of 12 25 point sets. This should give you a maximum of 3 matches counted against your total by the NCSHAA.
SCHEDULE Saturday, August 19, 2017 8:00am: Doors Open 8:30am: Coaches Meeting 9:00am: Pool Play Begins 3:00pm: Playoffs Begin 6:00pm: Tournament Concludes

Davidson Volleyball will provide the facility, trainer services, officials, and other miscellaneous costs. Davidson’s trainer will be available throughout the day. We ask that you bring your own supplies (tape, pre-wrap, etc.). Mail Entry Form and Fee to:
