Manager Human Resources Worlds of Fun has an immediate opening for the position of Manager Human Resources in Kansas City, MO. This fulltime position will report to our Director of Human Resources.
JOB SUMMARY: Worlds of Fun is looking for an experienced recruiting leader who is ready to accept the challenge of moving our park into a new era of growth and development. As a leader in the attractions industry, we are transforming our in-park experiences through the addition of best-in-class facilities and events that will take us from a seasonal amusement park to a near year round entertainment center. We employ over 2,500 associates each season and are the region’s largest youth employer. This individual will be directly responsible for ensuring we have the talent needed to deliver Best Day Experiences to Every Guest, Every Day, Every Time. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field 3-5 years of related experience. Valid state driver’s license. Demonstrated success with high-volume recruitment initiatives. Demonstrated proficiency with computers, including applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and supervise others. Demonstrated ability to analyze recruitment data and present relevant information to key stakeholders. Demonstrated familiarity with federal, state and local labor laws, including EEO, medical and religious accommodations, FMLA and minor labor laws. Ability to pass a mandatory or random drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all full-time and seasonal recruitment and selection processes. Identifies and coordinates recruitment opportunities, including school visits, job fairs, advertising, direct mailings and online recruitment. Ensures each division has appropriate staffing levels during all phases of the park's operation. Maintains requisitions for full-time and seasonal staffing needs. Coordinates the approval process in accordance with company policy. Provides regular updates to key stakeholders on the status of open requisitions. Maintains updated job descriptions in compliance with federal, state and local laws and Cedar Fair policy. Recruits for and coordinates supplemental staffing programs as needed. Manages all aspects of the medical and religious accommodations and leave of absence processes.
Serves as Human Resources Manager On-Duty as scheduled with responsibilities for conducting employment investigations, coaching managers and divisional leaders and reviewing requests for dismissal. Adhere to and enforce all Cedar Fair policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrate a commitment to guest service in all aspects of employment. Other duties may be assigned.
