4-H CLUB REPORTS Flora and Fauna Friends 4-H Club . . . The Tioga County Dairy Princess, Katelyn Eaton, was a guest speaker at our 4-H club meeting on February 5, 2017, at the Candor Library. We learned about the health benefits of milk including all the vitamins and minerals in dairy products. Katelyn also told us about how she become a Dairy Princess. Then we played a game called "The Dairy Princess Says" (it is similar to the game Simon Says). At the end of the meeting we made ice cream sundaes and everyone received a Got Milk pencil.
Flora and Fauna Friends 4-H Club . . . On Monday February 27, 2017, the Flora and Fauna Friends 4-H Club officers (president Luke Huizinga, vice president Owen Huizinga, and secretary Jenna Huizinga) presented the Candor Food Pantry with the money our club collected from our community service can and bottle drive in December. The food pantry will use the money to buy hams for Easter.
Flora and Fauna Friends 4-H Club . . . Our March business meeting was held on Sunday the 12th at the Candor Library. Three club members presented their public presentations to the group. Wyatt Zorn talked about his drone, Audi Zorn presentations was on the four steps for showing a dairy calf, and Makenna Zorn talked about the differences between a Western and English saddle. After the business meeting ended we worked on string projects to be displayed in the Youth Building during fair week.
