March News Kindergarten Important Dates: • 3/2: Wacky Friday • 3/15: ½ Day Parent-Teacher Conferences • 3/16: PTA Spring Dance • 3/23: Sip Into Spring • 3/30-4/6: Spring Break
Ms. Woods (Phys. Ed) Students will continue to practice basketball skills. They will also practice soccer skills, such as dribbling, passing and scoring. Mr. Hanratty (Art) Students will learn about a traditional art of India & Bangladesh called Alpana, which involves pattern making, symmetry and geometry. Ms. Fitzgerald (Music & Movement) Students will learn Irish step dancing.
Reading
Students are zooming in on letters and sounds as they read bigger, more complex books.
Writing
Students are using persuasive writing to solve problems they see in the world.
Math
Students are working on solving problems and understanding how many there are now.
Science
Students will learn how to measure the area and length of objects.
Social Studies
Students are learning all about plants.
Have your child solve some word problems. “How many people will be at the dinner table if Grandma joins us?”.
