Longreach Market Report 5th September 2012 Longreach Combined Agents yarded over 5000 head for another very strong meatworks market this week. Bullocks weighing over 600Kg sold to a terrific high of 181c/kg. Feeder steers once again bounced all around the 190’s. Fat cows & heifers kept the pace of the bullocks; genuine cows selling to 150’s, with heavy heifers selling to 169c/kg. Light store steers still a little slower; Good results on 3-400Kg steers making to 193c/kg. Vealer heifers sold to 181c/kg. Younger Santa X Cows & Calves had a sale high of $790; with large frame aged Brahman Cows & Calves selling to $650.
