MARLBORO BOYS’ AND GIRLS’ CLUB TRACK TEAM INVITES YOU TO ITS ANNUAL INVITATIONAL TRACK MEET Oxon Hill High School 6701 Leyte Drive, Oxon Hill MD 20745
SATURDAY, MAY 7, 2016 TIME: Track Meet will begin promptly at 9:00 am (First call for 100m - 8:30am) Coaches meeting will begin at 8:15 am. On-site registration begins at 7:30 am ENTRY FEES: No Personal checks; $5.00 PER ATHLETE / $5.00 PER RELAY TEAM; $350 MAXIMUM TEAM FEE (Team Fee includes unlimited # of athletes and 8 relay teams). EVENT LIMITATION: Oxon Hill HS has a beautiful new 8-lane rubberized track and an enormous amount of bleacher space to accommodate over 3000 spectators, the facility only has ONE shot put circle and ONE long jump pit. To that end, we will necessarily be limiting participants in those events (long jump & shot put) to a maximum of two (2) entries per sex/age group. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. ***VERY VERY IMPORTANT***We ask that you meet with your parents in advance of the meet to remind them of the need to adhere to parking restrictions and follow the guidance of the parking attendants since Oxon Hill HS will be hosting the SAT on Saturday morning and we will need to direct traffic flow and parking in a manner that does not impede students’ ability to sit for this important exam. Tent Set-up: After 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 STICKERS: Please provide stickers for each event. (name, d.o.b. sex, club, event) EQUIPMENT: Starting blocks may only be used in the 100m finals. AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place; ribbons for 4th, 5th and 6th place VOLUNTEERS: Please have one (1) volunteer available to assist with timing of the 100-meter AGE GROUPINGS: Age is determined based upon athlete’s age as of December 31, 2016. Please make sure that athletes know their correct age group to avoid disqualification. Competition age groups: 6 & under (50m dash only); 8 & under; 9/10; 11/12; 13/14; 15/16; 17/18
