Approval of Prior Meeting’s Minutes A. Motion to approve by Rhonda Peischl, seconded by Missy Block Treasurer’s Report– Rhonda Peischl Rhonda provided an updated snapshot of the monthly finances for Mason Men’s Lacrosse including a total of $900 raised for donut sales. There were no new expenses in September, but it was mentioned that we may be adding 3 potential overnight stays for the upcoming season and this would have a substancial effect on the budget.

Old Business A. MABA Update – Gary Ross & DeAnna Malloy MABA announced that we have the potential of hosting 2 playoff games at the Dwire Field. MABA would be using a points system to “reward” booster groups for their participation – noting that “coordinator” positions earn higher points based on responsibility and therefore would get a greater percentage of the earnings for their booster groups. Obviously, we would like to get those spots for LAX as much as possible. Signup Genius’s will be used for volunteering and will be forwarded to your groups by your MABA representatives. Greg Peischl has already stepped up to volunteer to take a Parking Coordinator position if applicable, thank you Greg! Playoffs will be announced on 10/29 – Signup Genius will be open on 10/24 to gain interest so that Lacrosse can secure spots ASAP – watch for emails from DeAnna or Mason Lacrosse. The next MABA Meeting is scheduled for 10/13/16.

calendar: 4-6pm on November 22nd at St. Susanna Church. A fabulous way to give back to local families during the Thanksgiving season. We hope to see a high turnout of players for this worthy cause. C. Other Volunteer Ideas We are looking for other volunteer opportunities throughout the year for the players – Sarah Schenz is currently lining up some other opportunities but we welcome any ideas you may have. Please feel free to email Sarah at [email protected] Spiritwear –Missy Block - Missy brought in samples of Spiritwear from Touchstone for the meeting participants to see. An initial Spiritwear sale will be open by next week and will be taking orders for 2 weeks – delivery by Christmas. Watch for details via email. Thank you Missy for all your work getting this set up in such a short timeframe. Player Packs/Uniforms – DeAnna & Rhonda Player Packs will consist of the same pieces as last year with the addition of a short sleeved shooter shirt per request from Coach Limpert. Jackets will be available for those who need them due to it being their first season or size change. More details to come regarding specifics of player packs. Preliminary sizing will be taking place in the next couple of weeks – please watch for information in the Weekly Update. Fundraisers – DeAnna & Rhonda A. 31 Update Keep passing the word on the 31 sale – so far orders are low. DeAnna is going to inquire if we can use MABA to get the word out. Please post on social media so we can try to get as many orders as possible. B. Donuts Look for donut sign-ups for the last Mason home football game – volunteering is easy, from halftime until the end of the game we sell Krispy Kreme donuts to fans leaving the game. This has been a very successful fundraiser for the Boosters – Please consider working 60-90 minutes to help this fundraiser succeed. Thank you to all who continue to volunteer and donate your time, it is greatly appreciated. C. Playoffs As mentioned above in the MABA report, there will be opportunities for the LAX Boosters to make some money working the playoff games in Mason. Please watch for emails regarding these opportunities. D. Dine and Dash Please consider eating at Big Dog’s Pizza on 10/19 as they will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from the entire days sales to the Mason Lacrosse Booster group. All 3 indoor teams are scheduled that evening – please consider picking up a pizza on the way home from Big Dog’s to support the Boosters. Keep an eye out for more Dine & Dash opportunities to come. E. Youth Tourney Discussion was had over sponsoring a 3v3 youth tournament in the winter versus the Indoor Skills Clinic. The Board believes we may get more interest in a tournament instead of a clinic. HS Boys could coach teams and/or referee the games. The consensus was that this may appeal to more players than a clinic. Misc - DeAnna A. Pinnie and Helmet Collection We will plan on collecting all pinnies used during summer lacrosse as well as any Mason helmets at GameTime during Velocity Games. For those not playing indoor, you may make arrangements to return your helmet and/or pinnie with any Board Member. We need to send the helmets in for reconditioning so it is imperative that the helmets are collected in the next week. B. Breakfast It has been decided that for all boys participating in the morning workout breakfast we will be collecting a one-time payment of $50 to cover breakfast costs– this is entirely voluntary. The boys will be provided breakfast each morning after workouts with a Hot Breakfast every Wednesday during the meeting. More information to come as we get closer to January. C. Coach Limpert Update The coach has added a Midwest League Tournament to the schedule – this tournament will be in Cleveland, Ohio on May 11th & 12th. More details to come regarding travel accommodations and schedule. Next Meeting: November 14, Mason High School KIVA - 7:00pm Note: The HS KIVA is located through the Main Entrance then follow steps on left to the 2nd floor Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 8:47 pm
