Mitchell Porter organized a tree planting event at Mountain View Cemetery for his Eagle Scout project. Troop 114 Boy Scouts and their leaders, and members of the Earth Stewardship Ministry of the First Congregational Church worked together to plant ten trees in the cemetery, near the Fire House, and on the Common. The project was funded in part by a grant to the Earth Stewardship Ministry from Mass ReLeaf to purchase the trees.
