2016 MBGLL Jamboree • Last year we offered two sites – Tabor Academy and Chelmsford Public Schools Complex • Didn’t get much support for the Tabor site from • Team sign-ups • Vendors • Volunteers

• We are going to decide this fall whether or not we will offer one or two sites • Please note that mass communication at any MBGLL event will take place via Facebook

Rule Modifications • The intent of 3-pass rule is to encourage team participation and to eliminate the superstars/ball hogs • MBGLL kept the 3-pass rule for the small field (U9, U11). • The count is reset at every turnover.

• No Coast-to-Coast rule • MBGLL instituted a no coast-to-coast rule from the draw or from a goalie clear for U13 and U15 (large field) • Make decisions based on the spirit of the game • If a player runs to goal repeatedly without passing, the official may ask said player to pass the ball and call back a goal VOTE postponed

Transparency App • Coaches rank effectiveness of official • Official ranks sportsmanship of coaches • Pilot for a year with access to administrators

Rule Change Reminders • Uniforms must comply with US Lacrosse standards 100% by 2015 or teams will lose the 1st draw opportunity (doesn’t include undergarments) Implemented last year • All home teams must provide a NOCSAE approved ball for games or receive a minor foul and forfeit the opening draw.

MBGLL Select • Developed 4 years ago to meet the needs of advanced players to enable them to compete at a higher level • Better prepares players for high school rules • Slow Growth Please support this league! • Register for Friday night home games • Teams may adjust playing times/days if mutually agreed upon in advance by both home and visiting coaches

• April 3, 2016– 8p – Mandatory MBGLL Select conference call to plan the season

Scheduling • Continue to work on the scheduling process • Respondents rank 1st parity scheduling (58%) 2nd block scheduling (29%) 3rd shorter driving distances (17%) • Towns must be ready to create their schedule at the scheduling meeting • After the scheduling meeting, towns must give their home game to their opponent if their field is unavailable • Scheduling meeting is MANDATORY!!! No representative means no input into your schedule. No exceptions. • Schedule is locked March 22. No changes after March 22 unless form is filled out and put through the proper channels. • Note Division directors may not act as a representative for their town

Scheduling Changes Form

Communication • Last year communicated via Facebook • Will continue to do so

• Will also try posting on Coaches’ pages to see if that reaches everyone. • Coaches should make a point of checking MBGLL’s home page for updates • Does anyone want me to create an Instagram page? VOTE
