Measuring Milestones

Child find is a component of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA ’04) that requires PEAs to locate, identify, and evaluate all children with disabilities, aged birth through 21, located within their geographical boundaries who are in need of early intervention or special education services. At Child Find, we understand that all children are unique and develop at different paces. Child Find’s mission is to help to celebrate your children’s achievements of key milestones in the areas of play, learning, language development, and socialization.

It is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics to have children screened at regular intervals. Child Find does developmental screenings at 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 42, 48, 54, and 60 months of age.
