GWC All-Conference Softball Team Announced HBU’s Mlcak selected Player of the Year, while teammate Weidert named Pitcher of the Year Naperville, Ill. -- The 2011 All-Great West Conference Softball Team was selected by the league coaches and announced Friday. Houston Baptist’s Mollye Mlcak was named GWC Player of the Year, while her teammate Jammie Weidert picked up Pitcher of the Year honors. Utah Valley’s Josi Summers was chosen Newcomer of the Year, and HBU’s Mary-Ellen Hall was selected Coach of the Year after leading the Huskies to the 2011 Great West Conference Championship.
