Tools required: 24” Ruler Rotary Cutter with sharp blade(s) Since cutting and ironing is needed after every seam we suggest you bring your own: Cutting mat: 23- 24 “ long (cutting mats will be available – but more convenient for you if have your own) Iron and pad (ironing boards will be available – but more convenient if have your own) Zipper foot – to make cording Stronger machine needle 90/14 Fabric/Materials Needed: One Jelly Roll (40 – 44 strips) Will make 2 pillows: one 40” and one 20”. Or…cut your own jelly roll. 2.5 yards for backing (this is enough for backings on both pillows and fabric needed for cording) 4 yards 6/32” Cotton piping or clothesline for large pillow ; 3 yards for small pillow The following will be needed to finish pillow but not needed at class Total 7#’s stuffing - 5# stuffing for large pillow 2# stuffing for small pillow 1.5” Cover Button Kits Strong Beading Thread or Fishing Wire One extra-long sewing/darning needle Before Class Preparation: Leaving salvages intact – cut Jelly Roll into 80 - 22” strips Read pattern. We will have some tips before we begin sewing. Basic Tools: A sewing machine in good working order with foot pedal, cord, bobbin and needles Pins Cutting mat Rotary Cutter (45 or 60mm) 24” Ruler cloth tape measure marking pencil/pen Scissors for Trimming Threads Seam ripper (Hopefully you won't use this) Iron and pad – there will be an iron and ironing board in the room to share
