Darren Edwards is an explosive power running back whom in 2012 decided to join the Minnesota Sting, a nonprofit, Minor League Football organization based out of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Darren proved himself from the beginning becoming one of the offensive team captains in his first year with the team. Darren showed how explosive he could be by obtaining 1,000 rushing yards in 8 games. With a game high of 204 rushing yards in week 5 Vs the Brainerd Lumberjacks whom he would face again in the league championship. On average Darren would rush for 100 yards per game while sharing time at running back for the first few games. Darren has worked very hard over the off season to have this amazing 2012 season.
