On April 22, people around the planet will be celebrating … the planet! Earth Day is a great opportunity to think of how we can help out this wonderful world that gives us so much. In many cases, you need look no further than your local restaurant, market or farm to see just how lucky we are with what nature brings to the table. So don’t! This week, we want you to eat local and take part in the 100-mile diet. Post something that’s been made within a 100-mile radius from where you live — just think of all the sustainable seafood and organic grocers you’re so lucky to live close to in Vancouver. So get out there and come back with something that says, “Don’t you know I’m local?” “Nothing better to start your day than some free-range eggs,” says Gastroposter Simon Kwok
