Rooted in Common Ground: Our Universal Call to Care for Creation
Monday, November 7, 2016 Cardinal Keeler Center 4800 Union Deposit Road Harrisburg, PA 17111 Integral ecology is a key concept in Pope Francis’s 2015 encyclical, Laudato Si’. This idea that the entire created world is intricately connected and mutually dependent significantly informs a Christian perspective on creation care. Our 2016 LARC Dialogue Day will focus on the place of the human within the created world and the Christian response to the biblical call to care for our common home. Diocese of Burlington (Vermont) Mission Outreach and Communication Coordinator, Stephanie Clary, will explore with us the inherent embeddedness of ecological consciousness within Christianity, approaches to living ecologically ethical lives, and connections between initiatives of eco-justice and social justice.
The day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM. Lunch will be provided. Stephanie Clary Mission Outreach and Communication Coordinator for the Diocese of Burlington, Vermont.
